14er Patches

Longs Peak towers above all other summits in Rocky Mountain National Park. The flat-topped monarch is seen from almost anywhere. Elevation 14,255 feet.

This fourteener is located in the Mount Evans Wilderness of Pike National Forest, 9.4 miles east of Georgetown. Elevation 14,060 feet.

The Colorado Trail is a long-distance trail running for 486 miles (782 km) from the mouth of Waterton Canyon southwest of Denver to Durango.

Tabeguache, "tab-uh-wash," lies just east of the Continental Divide and just west of the Arkansas River, in the south-central part of the Sawatch Range. It is located within the San Isabel National Forest and is in Chaffee County. Elevation 14,155 feet.

Sunshine Peak has the distinction of being the lowest of Colorado's 53 fourteeners. Elevation 14,001 feet.

It is an airy move to get to the summit of this Needle Range peak that is flanked by Eolus and Windom. It was named for the rays of sunshine that pass through the spires on its ridges. Elevation 14,059 feet.

Snowmass Mountain is named for the large snowfield that lies on its eastern slopes. It lies along the border between Pitkin and Gunnison counties, west of Aspen and southwest of the town of Snowmass Village. Elevation 14,092 feet.

Mount Wilson is located in the Lizard Head Wilderness of the Uncompahgre National Forest. The original indigenous name for the mountain was Shandoka, which translates to "Storm Maker", a reference to the peak's effect on local weather patterns.

Mount Sherman is one of the most nondescript of the fourteeners, and one of the easiest to climb; it is recommended as a beginner fourteener. Elevation 14,036 feet.

Mount Democrat is located 5.4 miles northwest of the Town of Alma. It was once known as Republic Mountain and Mount Buckskin. Elevation 14,148 feet.

The mountain is named for its symmetrical profile resemblance to Mount Etna, the famous volcano in Sicily. Elevation 13,745-foot.
